LET'S PARTY - 9.21.15

Hi guys, it's me, that girl katie Adding straws to your guests beverages at the next party you host is an easy way to incorporate a fun design element while adding a pop of color.

I recently hosted a party with a "Let's Talk" theme so I added these word bubbles to my straws using my Cricut Explore to cut out the bubbles + then hand wrote the lettering.

And then with a little hot glue, they were done.

I think they are so cute and it really didn't take that much time to add the extra flair to my party.

Stay tuned for more details + photographs of the entire party. And in the meantime "LET"S PARTY"

40th BIRTHDAY - A YEAR BELATED 5.14.15

Hi guys, it's me, that girl katie, I finally celebrated my 40th birthday - A Year Belated this past March. I had so much fun designing and hosting it that I decided to submit the party to Style Me Living and this week they featured it. Incase you missed the article, you can my description of the party + see more pictures RIGHT HERE.

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the evening.

The party was also locally featured on The Scout Guide - Jackson Hole, WY.

It takes a village to pull off a party and I couldn't of done it without these fabulous vendors + friends:

KICK UP YOUR HEELS for DINNER AL FRESCO 10.16.14

Hi guys, it’s me, that girl katie I love traditions and Dinner Al Fresco has become a favorite of mine.

This year we hosted Dinner Al Fresco with our amazing friends Hunter and Molly who own the restaurant, E.Leaven.

Summers tend to fly by everywhere but even more so here in Jackson because of the short summer season due to mountain living. So we are making it an annual tradition to end the summer season enjoying good friends, great food, yummy drinks and of course the beautiful Tetons.

Having 4 of us to divide up the work was perfect because we were all able to really enjoy the evening. Hunter, Molly & Matt took care of the menu while I took care of all the décor elements + my homemade ice cream.

It was a perfect night and we definitely KICKED UP our HEELS.

What dinner party traditions do you have?

LADIES DINNER - 8.12.14

Hi guys it's me, that girl katie, I love summers and since I am unable to do any outdoor activities because of my recent ACL surgery I am finding other ways to enjoy the outdoors. So, I hosted a summer ladies dinner.

My adorable husband agreed to make pizza's & grill the flank steak. He even cleaned up which was beyond nice because it would have been a lot on my knee.

Planning a party takes a lot of prep. I enjoy the creative and design aspects of the party and like to outsource the food unless it involves making homemade ice cream. So, a special shout out to Laura who helped make a lot of the other food. Even party planning can take a village to pull off.

It was a relaxing and fun evening and I am glad I was able to share it with these special ladies.
